The Chorley Barrier is an Ultra Heavy-Duty barrier and represents our heaviest barrier deterrent that we manufacture. The height barrier is made of heavy gauge box section and as such is a favourite with many local authorities. Due to the size and weight of this system the barrier has a bespoke manufactured hinge system which caters for the heavy gauge material.

A key feature aside from the security that the barrier offers is the low-level locking posts and the in-built shroud over lock system. The barrier easily accommodates a lower gate option for added security.

Due to the heavy weight and size of this barrier the hinge posts are fabricated from 200 x 200 x 8mm steel. The hinge post is set in a foundation at 1000mm x 1000mm x 1000mm. Barrier arms which are constructed from 80 x 80 x 3mm box section can achieve a maximum length of up to 8 meters.

This barrier is known within the industry as a traveller incursion preventor and typically can not simply be cut or easily removed. We do offer an installation service on this barrier however if you are looking to install this barrier independently you will require on-site lifting equipment to hoist the barrier arm into position.
